I’ve just met for the first time someone that I know
It filled me full of pleasure it made my old heart glow
She is someone called Mrs Cake and character from a book
I’d always imagined in my mind just the way she’d look
I had imagined short and round and a wobble as she walked
And in my head a grandma voice saying deery as she talked
So you can imagine my surprise on the day that we first met
It was such a difference to what I thought I can’t believe it yet
She stood quite tall and straight and slim with a smile upon her face
Her clothes were bright and cheerful with not a hint of grandma’s lace
So when you picture someone in your mind try not to fantasise
Wait till they’re in front of you and you see them with your eyes
